The Boy is Eleven

I think I'm going to faint. How did eleven years slip past me so quickly? I just don't know how one minute I can have just given birth, and the next, I'm two years away from having a teenager! It's a scary thought, to be sure. I have to say, I am enjoying this stage of life immensely. While it is very busy, I enjoy that I can now have intelligent conversations with The Boy. He is figuring out the world, and when he shares his thoughts and ideas about what he's experiencing, it always leads to some fascinating conversations.

So, in my reminiscing of years past, I decided to throw together a slide show depicting The Boy through the years. He hasn't changed much, facially. In fact, some times it was difficult for me to tell which picture came before or after. Except for this year. His face has really grow up this past year, and I'm not sure I like it. Last week, he came out on deck at the pool where I teach lessons. He has a lesson at the same time I'm in the water teaching. I'm going to keep going with the excuse I didn't have my glasses on or contacts in, but I didn't even recognize my own son!! Who is this pre-teen, and what did you do with my little boy? I keep telling him "When did I ever give YOU permission to grow up!?" This always makes him laugh. He loves this line.

Without further ado...
